Daily Stand Recommendations

RackScore™

Every morning, RackScore grades each of your stands A through F based on today's forecast conditions compared to your historical sighting data. It's not a regional model — it's built on HerdMind's knowledge of your specific property.

The Grade Scale

A Simple Grade. A Clear Decision.

Open the app and know instantly which stand to hunt.

A
Hunt It

Conditions match your best historical patterns at this stand. High confidence. Be there.

B
Good Odds

Favorable conditions with solid historical support. Worth hunting, especially if other stands grade lower.

C
Average

Conditions are neutral. Historical data doesn't strongly support or oppose hunting this stand today.

D
Questionable

Conditions work against this stand today based on your data. Consider a different stand.

F
Don't Hunt It

Conditions are historically bad for this stand. Your data says stay home or hunt elsewhere.

The Formula

What Goes Into RackScore

Six factors. All weighted against your specific sighting history — not a generic regional database.

Wind Direction

Very High

The single strongest predictor in RackScore. HerdMind knows which wind directions produce deer at each stand from your sighting history.

Barometric Pressure

Low

Scientific research on pressure and deer movement is split. HerdMind tracks pressure trend on your property and lets your own sighting data determine how much weight it deserves.

Temperature

High

Your property's historical sweet spot for deer movement. This varies by stand and by season phase.

Moon Phase

Low

Published research has not found consistent correlation between moon phase and deer movement. HerdMind tracks it anyway — if your property shows a pattern, it will surface in your data.

Time of Day

Very High

Dawn vs. dusk vs. midday productivity per stand. HerdMind knows when each stand historically produces.

Season Phase

High

Pre-rut, rut, post-rut. Deer behavior changes dramatically — RackScore adjusts its weighting based on where you are in the season.

Accuracy Over Time

RackScore Gets More Accurate
Every Season You Use It

More sightings mean tighter patterns. Tighter patterns mean sharper grades.

Season 1

Baseline Building

RackScore activates at 50 sightings. Early grades are directional — they tell you which stands look better or worse today based on limited data.

Season 2

Patterns Emerge

With a full season of data, wind and pressure correlations sharpen. Your A-grades are now meaningfully more reliable than your C and D grades.

Season 3+

Calibrated Edge

Multi-season behavioral patterns are confirmed. Your RackScore is now calibrated to your specific property in a way no regional model can match.
