The Wrong Stand
I couldn't decide which stand to hunt that morning, so I went with my gut and picked the one I figured would have buck activity on it. Sat there for hours and saw nothing.
On my way out I pulled the camera card from the other stand, and there was a big 8 checking out some does right where I should have been sitting. I'd made the wrong call, and what gets me is that the information to make the right one had been on that card the whole time.
I had years of photos, sighting history, stand data, and weather sitting around, but none of it was connected to anything. I figured there had to be a way to pull all of it together, find the patterns, and put myself in the right stand on the right day. That's the question that turned into RackData.

I've always been a numbers guy, so if there's something I can do to put the odds in my favor, I'm going to do it. That's just how I'm wired.
I've been hunting Louisiana since I was six years old, when I killed my first deer sitting in my dad's lap, and every season since then has looked about the same. You prep your cameras, pull the cards, flip through a few hundred photos, send a couple to the group chat, and then never really look at them again.
But those photos are packed with information. Every one of them carries the wind, the temperature, the time of day, the moon, the pressure. If you compile enough of them you start seeing patterns that nobody else can see, because they come from your property and your herd. That's exactly what RackData is built to do.
The Principles Behind the Product
Your property is unlike any other.
A prediction built on your own land will beat a regional algorithm every time, so your data should reflect where you actually hunt.
Every sit is data, even the empty ones.
An empty stand still tells HerdMind something, because the absence of deer under certain conditions matters just as much as a card full of bucks.
Data doesn't replace instinct, it sharpens it.
The hunters who use RackData best are still hunters first, and the data just gives their gut something real to work from.
